Following the activity of translating the EAAP Newsletters in national languages that we began with the editions in Romanian and in Slovakian and Portuguese we have included a new language: German! We are increasing the possibility to disseminate science and news to everyone interested, regardless the spoken language. Since issue n.218, the German translation of the Newsletter is available for the benefit of German-speaking animal scientists and technicians who find difficult to read English. German language is spoken in 42 countries around the world. In Europe, in particular, is spoken in countries such as Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein. The translation and organization of the German version is cared by a researcher, Julia Drews, supported by the State Research Centre of Agriculture and Fisheries in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany, where she works. Julia’s research focuses on innovative housing concepts and environmental impact assessment in dairy production systems. Like Nina Moravcikova for Slovakian, Gabriela Cornescu for Romanian, Mariana Dantas de Brito Almeida and Flávio Daniel Gomes da Silva for Portuguese, Julia will create the national version of the EAAP Newsletter issues and she will deliver it at interested readers. Translated versions of the EAAP Newsletter issues are available here. EAAP plans in the future to look for cooperation in other countries to distribute Newsletters in national languages.
