Science, Networking and Alpine Hospitality: EAAP 2025 in Innsbruck

The 76th EAAP Annual Meeting has just concluded in the beautiful city of Innsbruck, Austria, leaving everyone with wonderful memories of an intense and rewarding week. With 85 high-quality scientific sessions and around 1,500 participants from all over the world, the meeting once again proved to be an outstanding forum for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and innovation in animal science. The scientific programme was enriched by an excellent plenary session, which attracted large audiences and generated lively discussions. The success of the meeting was also due to the impeccable organisation and the renowned Austrian hospitality. The technical tours offered participants the unique opportunity to discover modern animal farming practices set against the splendid backdrop of the alpine mountains. Social events added a special flavour to the week: from the traditional Austrian evening to the Gala dinner, participants enjoyed moments of local culture, entertainment and conviviality. For five days, Innsbruck was alive with animal scientists, who could be seen in the evenings gathering in the historical city centre to share dinner, a beer, and, above all, the friendship and networking that make EAAP so special. We warmly thank all participants and our Austrian hosts. Now, let’s look forward to next year in Hamburg, Germany – be ready for the next EAAP Annual Meeting!
