EAAP Announces 2026 Distinguished Service Award Recipients

The European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP) has announced the recipients of its 2026 Distinguished Service Awards (DSA). The EAAP Council has selected three distinguished scientists as this year’s honourees: Haldja Viinalass (Estonia), Georg Thaller (Germany), and Michael Lee (United Kingdom). Congratulations to Haldja, Georg and Michael! The Distinguished Service Award is presented to senior individuals in acknowledgement of their outstanding career and service to the livestock sector in general and to EAAP in particular, with a maximum of three recipients per year. The three awardees join a select group of leading figures who have left a lasting mark on European and international animal science. The awards will be officially presented at the 77th EAAP Annual Meeting, scheduled to take place in Hamburg, Germany, from 7 to 11 September 2026.
