The EAAP community app is a digital platform dedicated to the scientific exchange between registered members of the European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP). While the platform is designed exclusively for professional scientists and members of the federation, and no minors are admitted to the community, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, including the protection of minors and the prevention of child sexual abuse or exploitation.
Membership Verification
- Membership requests are subject to manual validation by the EAAP Secretariat.
- Although the app allows open registration, no user is granted access until manually reviewed and approved.
- In case of suspicion regarding age, identity, or legitimacy, access is denied or revoked.
Community Standards and Content Moderation
- The platform allows users to post content (text, images), send private messages, and interact publicly.
- All user interactions are subject to a code of conduct that prohibits inappropriate, abusive, or illegal content.
- Users have control over the visibility of their content (public within the community or visible only to selected contacts).
Manual Moderation and Reporting Tools
- All content is subject to manual moderation by designated EAAP staff.
- Users can report inappropriate behavior or content via a built-in reporting feature.
- Users can also block specific members to prevent them from initiating private messages or interacting with their content.
Response to Abuse or Exploitation
While the app is not intended for minors, in the event of any report or suspicion involving:
- Sexual exploitation of minors
- Child abuse material
- Grooming or predatory behavior
EAAP commits to:
- Immediately removing the content
- Suspending the account involved
- Notifying relevant authorities and cooperating fully with law enforcement
- Maintaining records of the report and action taken
A dedicated team monitors such reports with confidentiality and urgency.
