BSAS Global, EAAP PLF study commission and the Stapledon Trust are organising two 90 minute webinars to consider these solutions and encourage development of PLF approaches in extensive systems.
The first webinar on the 17th November will concentrate on the current state of the art with presentations on the use of these technologies in grassland and range systems in Europe, Australasia, Africa and the Americas. Speakers confirmed as Dr Paul Greenwood, Dr Claire Morgan-Davies, Professor Andres Cibils and Professor Andrew Dowsey and Chaired by Ilan Halachmi
The second webinar on the 19th November will concentrate on beyond the state of the art to examine the future potential of PLF and sensing technologies in extensive systems. Studies will also be presented by companies developing systems of sensing, communication and storage of data and transfer of relevant information to producers and policy makers. Speakers confirmed as Mark Jarman, Mark Trotter and Dr David Stevens and Chaired by Tony Waterhouse
Each webinar will consist of short presentations with the ability to ask questions and make points on chat. These will be discussed in a final session.
