Great success of the 1st EAAP Workshop on Insects IMP in Athens!

Last week, the 1st EAAP Workshop on Insects IMP took place in Athens. The aim of this workshop was to bring together scientists working on various insect species and aspects of insect breeding, to present state-of-the-art research, spur debate across species and fields, and to train new generation of insect breeders in the frame of 5 Sessions, one Plenary Session, one Poster tour and 3 Trainings. We wish to thank the people who organized the scientific program, above all Gertje Petersen and Jana Obstetter and, of course Laura Gasco, as President of the Insect Study Commission. The participants were warmly and efficiently hosted by the Agricultural University of Athens. For this reason we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Agricultural University and the Greek team. Their dedication and hard work were essential in making the workshop a success therefore a special “thank you” goes to Manolis Flemetakis and to Eleni Tsiplakou and her team (Alexandros Mavrommatis, Panagiota Kyriakaki, Raffaella Andreaki, Niovi Karakostandi, Eleni Godevenou and Eleni Mari) for their invaluable contributions. Their commitment and teamwork truly made a difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your support. Together, we are paving the way for innovative research and collaboration in the field of insect production. Thank you once again for making this workshop a memorable and impactful experience!
