Reflecting on a Year of Milestones and Anticipating a Bright Future Together

As the year draws to a close, we reflect with gratitude on the incredible journey we’ve shared together as a community. Your unwavering trust in EAAP and support have been the cornerstones of our success, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you. In 2023, we embarked on a series of meaningful activities that not only strengthened our bonds but also propelled us towards new heights. Here’s a glimpse of the remarkable initiatives we undertook: 

• The 2023 Annual Meeting held in Lyon (France) was the largest ever in the EAAP history and, with 95 scientific sessions on animal science and around 2200 participants, was also the largest animal science in the world in 2023 
• The 1st Regional Meeting held in Nitra (Slovakia) 
• The 1st Ruminant Feed Efficiency Academy in Milan (Italy), in cooperation with Selko-Trouw Nutrition  
• We reach the incredible result of more than 5500 individual members 
• We welcome Uzbekistan as new country member and re-welcome Greece 
• EAAP works for animal science dissemination in 10 EU supported projects 
• EAAP continues to manage and publish, together with several partners, the three journals of the “animal family” and Animal Frontiers 
• We produce bi-weekly the Newsletter to our members and translate it in nine different languages with around 3000 certified readers per issue 
• We publish the Books of Abstracts of the Lyon Annual Meeting and Nitra Regional Meeting 
• EAAP in 2023 established the Industry Club to strengthen cooperation with livestock industries 
• We organize and offer to our members several webinars about animal science 
• We offer many scholarships to young scientists 
• EAAP sustain dozens of relevant invited speakers participating to our scientific meetings 

Together, EAAP made overall a positive impact on our local communities through various outreach initiatives, demonstrating the power of collective action. Furthermore, our networking events provided valuable opportunities for members to connect, share insights, and forge collaborations with like-minded professionals.
